Where will you be working?
As an organisation, there is little we don’t do and plenty to get involved in. Our Group Support roles are vital in making sure we can help over 11,000 people deliver essential infrastructure seamlessly across water, energy, transport and telecom.
This role is in our Plant & Fleet department, Plant & Fleet supports teams across our business with their vehicle, plant and specialist equipment needs, offering hire solutions that are commercially effective, reliable, safe and compliant.

What will you be doing?
You'll play an important role by visiting projects and working closely with engineers, inspecting all lifting and personal protective equipment to ensure it's within its examination expiry date. You'll also take care of inspecting our commercial fleet, including carrying out weight checks and inventory reviews.
You’ll also be collaborating with the Mobile Equipment Supervisor, you’ll create and maintain a clear inspection schedule for PPE, supporting the Power and Telecoms teams across the UK.
When needed, you'll prepare, inspect, and certify lifting and specialist equipment, ensuring compliance with LOLER and PUWER regulations.
You'll be hands-on with loading and unloading equipment for construction sites, including handling articulated lorries, Forklift Trucks, and Telehandlers.
Your work will directly contribute to ensuring safety and compliance across our projects—a vital part of what keeps everything running smoothly.
What you’ll bring
- Full Driving License is essential for this role
- The ability to carry out, on occasion, physically demanding tasks
But experience with the below would be desirable:
- PPE inspection
- LOLER
- PUWER
- Forklift and Telehandler experience
