Where will you be working?
At M Group Energy, we’re enabling the energy essential to support our lives.
We provide an end-to-end service, delivering solutions in electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy, EV, metering and home decarbonisation.
We design, build and commission substations at voltages up to and including 400kV. Our teams construct and maintain transmission lines and substations, ensuring the efficient and reliable delivery of electricity.
What will you be doing?
Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor ready to lead commercial strategy on high-impact energy projects?
We’re looking for someone who can:
- Prepare reports and claims to agreed deadlines
- Support commercial systems and build strong internal relationships
- Monitor project risk and maintain accurate documentation
- Manage subcontractor procurement, assessments, and final accounts
- Identify and manage variations, delays, and claims
- Enhance commercial processes for efficiency
- Collaborate with Commercial Manager and QS team
- Assist in financial reporting and cost recovery
- Attend project meetings and support documentation
- Uphold company HSEQ policies and standards
What you’ll bring
- Strong negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Excellent analytical ability and financial awareness
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- In-depth knowledge of NEC 3 & 4 contracts (Options A, C & E)
- Experienced in subcontract management, valuations, and cost/value reconciliation
- Qualified in Quantity Surveying with a full, clean UK driving licence
- Skilled in planning, project management, and business analysis
- Strategic thinker with strong presentation and influencing capabilities
- Knowledge of the industry
You will need a full UK driving licence for this role due needing to travel to sites.
