You’ll be joining our Highways maintenance team, as the UK’s number one highway maintenance contractor, our teams use the latest innovations to create effective solutions. We offer a range of services including planned and reactive maintenance and highway improvement schemes.

What will you be doing?
You'll be leading the depot delivery team including supervision of subcontractors and self-delivery teams. Promoting a health and safety culture and being responsible for delivering works in a safe and compliant manner. Supporting the Area Manager in the successful delivery of the Devon Highways maintenance contract in line with M Group Highways values, policies and approach.
You'll manage the overall performance of all direct reports on a day to day basis. You’ll be expected to participate in an out of hours emergency call out system covering the Devon Highways Services network and participating in Winter Services duties as required.
The role will include, people management, managing cost, task delivery, scheduling works, managing resource and ensuing the highest level of health and safety at all times.
What you’ll bring
- Ability to identify change and implement the change process to allow recovery of entitlement.
- Ability to execute change to bring about service improvements through working/consulting with internal and external stakeholders
- NRSWA (supervisor)
- SMSTS trained
- CSCS card
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of Highways Specification
- Competent in use of General MS tools
- Experience in highway maintenance and management essential
