  • Right across infrastructure, there’s a requirement to not only maintain, but also renew and reimagine. Whatever stage you’re at in your career, with us you’ll have an opportunity to grow and develop. Delivering essential infrastructure services for life, while being safety first, and client and customer centric in a friendly, fun and respectful environment where you are encouraged to thrive.

    Where will you be working?

At M Group Water we help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards.  We’re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure.

This role will join BES - which provides a fully-integrated service to clients within the pharmaceutical, life sciences and healthcare sectors, using our expertise to develop bespoke solutions to meet each client’s project-specific requirements. We combine design, digital innovation and construction capabilities to provide a complete multidisciplinary offering, including process engineering, structural and civil, architectural, mechanical/HVAC and electrical services.

    What will you be doing?

You’ll take the lead on the commercial side of large-scale projects, guiding the ‘Discipline Lead’ scope of works with confidence and clarity. As part of this, you’ll manage the NEC4 Option A contract, handling early warnings, compensation events, and change control with care and precision.

Your role will involve preparing and overseeing project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports—making sure everything stays on track financially. You’ll also be deeply involved in risk and value management, helping to ensure smart, informed decisions throughout the project lifecycle.

Collaboration is key, and you’ll work closely with clients, consultants, and subcontractors in a professional and approachable way. You’ll oversee procurement and manage subcontract packages, while also supporting delivery teams with commercial guidance and clear reporting.

    What you’ll bring

    • Proven experience with NEC4 Option A contract
    • Strong background in Design and Build project delivery
    • The ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
    • Experience working on pharmaceutical or cleanroom projects is highly desirable.
    • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
    • Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail.

    What’s in it for you?

We offer a range of benefits designed to support your life in and out of work, some of which include:

    • Matched or contributory salary sacrifice pension scheme
    • Online GP service, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year
    • Employee assistance programme
    • My Rewards portal, access to 1000’s of retail discounts
    • Life assurance
    • Cycle to work, salary finance and give as you earn schemes
    • Reward and recognition scheme
    • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
    • Hybrid working and flexible working hours
