  • Right across infrastructure, there’s a requirement to not only maintain, but also renew and reimagine. Whatever stage you’re at in your career, with us you’ll have an opportunity to grow and develop. Delivering essential infrastructure services for life, while being safety first, and client and customer centric in a friendly, fun and respectful environment where you are encouraged to thrive.

    Where will you be working?

As an organisation, there is little we don’t do and plenty to get involved in. Our Group Support roles are vital in making sure we can help over 11,000 people deliver essential infrastructure seamlessly across water, energy, transport and telecom.

The Procurement function is undergoing an exciting transformation journey, deploying best in class processes, ensuring an innovative, reliable and cost-efficient supply chain that can grow with M Group to support delivery of our strategy.

Want to come and be a part of it?

The Procurement PMO plays a key role in the Procurement Reporting, Governance & Control team, driving performance through high-quality reporting and governance. Acting as the central hub for project tracking, reporting, and process improvement, the role ensures all procurement activities meet corporate objectives, compliance standards, and best practices. It also facilitates governance forums, delivers performance reports, and supports senior leadership with programme oversight.

This role can be conducted remotely, with travel to Stevenage required 2-4 times a month with additional travel to meet stakeholders and suppliers as required

    What will you be doing?

    • You’ll be overseeing procurement initiatives, benefits reporting, and data accuracy.
    • You’ll be organising governance forums, prepare materials, and track actions.
    • Delivering monthly reports, dashboards, and performance metrics to senior leaders.
    • Coordinating team meetings, presentations, and training schedules.
    • You’ll be maintaining procurement documentation, databases, and governance timelines.
    • Supporting procurement transformation projects and supplier events.
    • Driving process improvements and enhance ways of working.

    What you’ll bring:

You’ll be confident working with MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, and possess strong analytical skills that enable you to interpret complex information and present it clearly to diverse audiences. Skilled in engaging with stakeholders across multiple divisions, you will be an effective communicator and a collaborative team player who can build strong working relationships at all levels.

With knowledge of project management, PMO practices, and change management, you’ll bring a continuous improvement mindset, with a focus on achieving procurement excellence. You will be a confident presenter, comfortable influencing stakeholders, and a proactive problem-solver who is not afraid to challenge the status quo. As a self-starter, you thrive in environments of ambiguity and complexity. While procurement experience and functional knowledge are desirable, your ability to deliver results, drive improvement, and adapt to changing priorities will be key to your success in this role.

    What’s in it for you?

    We offer a range of benefits designed to support your life in and out of work, some of which include;

      • Matched or contributory pension scheme
      • Online GP service, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year
