Where will you be working?
At M Group Telecom, we’re enabling and enhancing telecom networks, playing a lead role in the delivery of our tech enabled future.
We deliver full network cycle services for fixed, private and mobile operators.
This role will be within our Private Networks team, you’ll join our people who support finding the best technology, managing assets and refreshing systems. With 24/7 network operations, we keep things running smoothly, while operating comprehensive network repair and maintenance to keep everything in top shape.

We’re looking for a Contract Director who can take ownership of contract performance, drive profitability, and lead strategic growth. This hybrid role involves regular travel to our St Ives office, the client site in Reading, and other UK locations. St Ives is preferred, but we’re flexible for the right candidate. We need someone with experience managing large, complex contracts—ideally in Mobile or Infrastructure—who is customer-focused, commercially sharp, and able to grow relationships. Strong leadership is key to influence clients, set a clear vision, and lead a matrix team to deliver results.
What will you be doing?
You’ll take accountability for contract performance, making sure we meet—and exceed—our business plan targets for gross margin and GWIP.
We’ll work together on business development and customer account strategies, ensuring optimal contract renewals that strengthen relationships and drive growth.
You’ll lead regular contract reviews to keep everything on track—financially, operationally, and contractually—so we deliver exactly what we promised (and more).
We’ll support you as you manage contract change requests and keep things moving smoothly.
You’ll collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes for both the business and our customers. Along the way, we’ll identify opportunities for continuous improvement, including automation where possible.
We’ll set the tone for strategic bid responses together, making sure we’re ready to win.
You’ll ensure timely sales recognition and invoicing for all contracted services, keeping everything accurate and on schedule.
What you’ll bring
Excellent leadership skills to inspire a “this is my business” culture—together, we’ll motivate, lead, and develop a high-performing team.
Strong knowledge and established relationships within the Mobile and Digital Infrastructure industry that you’ll use to help us grow.
Senior-level experience in relationship management and sales, working with strategic clients and engaging senior internal stakeholders.
Commercial acumen with a proven track record of managing large multi-£M P&L accounts and driving profitability.
Expertise in complex operational delivery, including managing large, distributed teams—you’ll play a key role in making this happen.
Degree-level education or equivalent senior experience in Business, Commercial Management, or a related field.
