Right across infrastructure, there’s a requirement to not only maintain, but also renew and reimagine. Whatever stage you’re at in your career; with us you’ll have an opportunity to grow and develop. Delivering essential infrastructure services for life, while being safety first, and client and customer centric in a friendly, fun and respectful environment where you are encouraged to thrive.
Where will you be working?
We have an opportunity for a Fibre Build Supervisor to join the Telecoms Division at MGroup Ltd. The role supports the safe and steady delivery of fibre work across local sites. The focus is on smooth planning, clear updates, and calm supervision of daily tasks.
The work involves regular visits to sites, simple checks, and clear communication with field teams and office teams. Each site is guided through the build process at a steady pace, and any concerns are shared early so the right support can be given. The aim is to keep progress moving without pressure and to make sure that quality and safety remain in place.
The role suits someone who enjoys working with people and who brings a clear and organised approach. Experience in fibre or field‑based work is helpful, though support is offered where needed. A driving licence is required, as the work is spread across several locations.
MGroup Ltd offers a stable and supportive environment. The team values fairness, care, and open communication. The work helps local communities connect and is an important part of the company’s wider plans.
What you’ll bring;
We are looking for someone who can step into the role with confidence and who feels comfortable in a fast‑moving environment. The role suits someone who enjoys practical work, who is confident in the field and who can keep steady progress even when plans change. The work will need technical experience and good judgement, so a calm and adaptable approach will be important.
The role needs someone with proven experience in fibre network construction. This should include direct work on Openreach projects so that the standards and ways of working are already familiar. A strong understanding of fibre networks will be needed from the start, covering everything from main spine routes through to final CBT connections. This knowledge will support clear supervision, good communication and sound decisions on site.
A good understanding of NRSWA and street works requirements will be essential. This will guide safe and lawful delivery of the work and will help keep each site compliant and well managed. This knowledge will also support better planning and quicker solutions when issues appear.
Strong organisational and communication skills will be needed each day. The role depends on clear coordination with teams, subcontractors and stakeholders. Information will need to be shared in a way that is timely, accurate and easy to follow. Good organisation will help with planning, allocation of tasks and tracking each stage of the project.
A proactive approach will be important. Many situations will need early action, and independent problem solving will be a regular part of the work. The role will also involve close teamwork, so the ability to work well with others, offer support and build positive relationships will be valuable.
A full UK driving licence will be required, as the role involves regular travel between sites. Work will take place across different locations, so a willingness to travel will be important.
Someone who brings this mix of experience, technical knowledge and confidence will be well placed to succeed and to support the delivery of safe, reliable and high‑quality fibre networks.
