Want to come and be a part of it?
What will you be doing?
In this role, you’ll be right at the heart of project delivery — supporting the Project Manager to ensure every project lands on time, within budget and exactly to customer spec. Day‑to‑day, you’ll take ownership of on‑site activity, keeping Health & Safety front and centre and making sure every engineer works safely and effectively. You’ll oversee installation and decommissioning work across mobile RAN sites, monitor progress, resolve issues and keep the project schedule firmly on track. We’ll rely on you to provide hands‑on engineering support to customers, field teams and the wider project group, including being part of a 1‑in‑3 on‑call rota for out‑of‑hours support. You’ll process customer requests, arrange and validate site surveys, check RAMS documentation and sign off site completion packs before submission. You’ll also manage equipment change processes, raise formal change requests in line with customer procedures and keep stakeholders updated through clear, accurate reporting of all on‑site activity.
You’ll mainly work from home, so we welcome candidates from anywhere in the UK. You’ll be aligned to your nearest M Group office for occasional meetings, collaboration and team days — but travel will only be required infrequently.
What you'll bring?
You’ll bring a blend of technical know‑how, practical experience and the confidence to keep projects moving with clarity and purpose. Specifically, we’ll be looking for:
- A solid understanding of Radio Access activities, alongside experience in site planning and working with handover/acceptance documentation.
- Strong communication skills — you’ll be comfortable engaging with colleagues, customers and suppliers at every level.
- Hands‑on problem‑solving ability, with the confidence to take ownership of issues and drive them through to resolution.
- A track record of keeping projects on track, ensuring progress, quality and compliance against time and budget expectations.
- Previous experience in mobile telecoms deployment, ideally including vendor equipment; experience on MBNL/CTIL projects is a bonus, not a requirement.
- A collaborative, reliable approach, with the ability to consider the bigger picture and make sound, objective decisions.
- Flexibility and organisation, including coordinating logistics for on‑site works and adapting effectively to change when it happens.
