Where will you be working?
Rail- Our Rail team manages a wide range of specialist rail engineering works and projects delivering civils, track, power, electrical solutions and station structures across all rail routes in the UK.

What will you be doing?
- Ensure accurate, high‑quality timesheet submissions and provide regular feedback to Operations on any required improvements.
- Manage allocation spreadsheets for van, fuel, and plant hire costs.
- Oversee the central cost head, working with Commercial and Operations to allocate costs to the correct projects promptly and consistently.
- Support the Commercial team with any required cost transfers.
- Maintain strong financial controls over all costs.
- Support month‑end cost reporting activities.
- Manage external framework audits and ensure full compliance with company policies.
- Assist with WIP and cash management.
What you’ll bring
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong Excel skills.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Experience supporting the month‑end CVR process.
- Experience in a contracting, construction, or project‑based environment (desirable).
