The Financial Controller will lead the company’s financial management, reporting, and control functions. This role ensures robust financial governance while supporting strategic decision-making in a scaling, sustainability-focused business.
Key requirements for the role include clear communication skills, attention to detail, the ability to work quickly along with accurately, excellent organisation skills and strong accounting knowledge. Financial Management & Reporting
- Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS / UK GAAP)

Manage the month-end and year-end close processes
- Deliver accurate and timely management reporting and insights
Cash Flow & Working Capital
- Maintain strong internal controls and financial governance frameworks

Ensure compliance with tax, regulatory, and statutory requirements

Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors

Maintain a robust financial risk management framework
- Fully Qualified Accountant with a recognised body such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA

Excellent numerical, communication and organisational skills

Understanding of key accounting and financial policies

Experience using accounting software

Oracle would be advantageous

Strong Excel skills – confident using formula and pivot tables to manage data and work efficiently
