What will you be doing?
You will support Project Managers in planning, delivering, and closing projects in line with company procedures.
You will help keep documentation organised, including programmes, cost trackers, meeting minutes, RAMS, permits, ITPs, and progress reports, ensuring actions are followed up promptly.
You will work closely with engineering, procurement, and site teams to keep milestones on track and provide practical technical input to designs. On site, you will monitor progress, highlight risks, and promote a positive safety culture.
You will liaise with clients like Severn Trent and delivery teams, contribute to commissioning activities, FAT/SAT, and handover documentation, and support feasibility surveys for PLC migrations and control system upgrades.
You will assist with estimating, pricing documents, CDM requirements, and technical submissions, always looking for opportunities to improve efficiency and add value.
Throughout every project, you will stay proactive, collaborative, and committed to developing your skills.
What you'll bring:
Essential Skills:
- Strong technical understanding of electrical installations, LV assemblies, control systems, and instrumentation
- Confident reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
- Organised, proactive, and comfortable leading tasks and small teams
- Clear communicator with a practical, solutions‑focused mindset
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, MS Project, and site‑management tools
- Good awareness of health and safety requirements
- Commercial understanding of project costing and estimating
- Able to define engineering solutions from developing information
- Knowledge of LV assemblies, PLC systems, and migration strategies (desirable)
- HNC/HND or Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 18th Edition, CSCS/ECS, SMSTS/SSSTS, and full UK driving licence (preferred)
Job‑Related Experience
- Experience in site‑based electrical or instrumentation delivery
- Supervising teams and coordinating multiple workstreams
- Working on PLC or control‑system projects (desirable)
- Carrying out surveys, feasibility work, or early‑stage engineering (desirable)
- Exposure to estimating, tendering, or pricing (desirable)
