Where will you be working?
At M Group Telecom, we’re enabling and enhancing telecom networks, playing a lead role in the delivery of our tech enabled future.
We deliver full network cycle services for fixed, private and mobile operators.
This role will be within our Fixed networks team, you’ll join our people who support providing turnkey solutions for the surveying, designing, building and commissioning new networks, while supporting the repair, maintenance and operation of existing networks.

What will you be doing?
A new opportunity is available for a Fibre Build Supervisor within the Telecoms Division at M Group Ltd. This role is suited to someone who is comfortable overseeing field-based activity and who takes pride in supporting the safe and consistent delivery of fibre networks.
The position offers involvement across the full lifecycle of fibre build projects, from early site activity through to final completion. Work will be centred on steady oversight, strong coordination and clear communication with teams and partners.
What the role will involve
- Responsibility will be held for the supervision of fibre network builds across multiple locations. Each stage of delivery will be monitored to ensure work is completed on time and in line with Openreach standards.
- Regular site visits will be required. These visits will support progress tracking, early issue resolution and assurance that health, safety and quality expectations are consistently met.
- Close coordination will take place with subcontractors and internal teams. This will help maintain steady progress, reduce delays and ensure that all project requirements are clearly understood.
- Routine audits will be carried out to confirm compliance and accuracy. Progress reports will be prepared to give stakeholders clear visibility of status, risks and dependencies.
- Oversight will extend across the full fibre installation process, including spine routes, distribution networks and CBT connections. Technical issues will be reviewed and resolved to support efficient delivery and minimise disruption.
- All activity will be aligned with legislation, including NRSWA requirements, ensuring safe working practices, effective traffic management and protection of the public at all times.
What you’ll bring;
- Experience within fibre network construction will be essential, alongside a strong understanding of Openreach standards and processes.
- A broad knowledge of fibre networks will be expected, covering the journey from spine routes through to final connections. This understanding will support confident supervision and informed decision making on site.
- Knowledge of NRSWA and street works requirements will be important, helping to guide compliant and well-managed delivery across all locations.
- Strong organisational and communication skills will be required. Information will need to be shared clearly and consistently with teams, subcontractors and stakeholders to maintain progress and trust.
- A proactive and calm approach will be valued. The ability to manage changing demands, resolve issues independently and work collaboratively with others will support success in the role.
- A full UK driving licence will be required, along with a willingness to travel regularly across multiple sites.
