Key Responsibilities
MGroup Transport are seeking a Skilled Electrician to join our Maintenance team. We are excited to present this new opportunity for talented Electrician interested in joining our delivery team looking to be involved on a variety of challenging Engineering Projects
This role is suitable for experienced Electricians looking to progress their career to the next level.
- Installation, inspection and maintenance of electrical systems that support aviation infrastructure.
- Supporting planned and reactive maintenance on critical airfield electrical equipment to ensure safe and reliable airport operations
- Installing and maintaining electrical containment systems such as cable trays, conduits and trunking across airfield and terminal environments
- Carrying out routine electrical testing, fault-finding and diagnostics on low voltage systems used within aviation facilities
- Commissioning of new electrical installations, ensuring compliance with aviation safety standards and regulatory requirements
- Maintenance of backup power systems, including generators, UPS units and essential power supplies
- Working alongside electricians and civils experts to develop specialist knowledge of airfield electrical systems and operational procedures
- Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with strict safety protocols, airport security requirements and industry regulations
- Maintaining accurate records, completing maintenance logs and supporting documentation for compliance and audit purposes
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations and company procedures.
- Work collaboratively with teams to minimise downtime and ensure reliability.
- Ability to work airside under strict operational conditions (full airside clearance related Security Clearance (DBS Check) will be arranged).
- NVQ Level 3
- BS7671 IET Wiring Regulations 18th Edition
- JIB ECS Gold Card
- City & Guilds 2365-02 Level 3 Diploma in Electrical Installation (or equivalent) (essential)
- City & Guilds 2391-50 Inspection & Testing (or equivalent) (essential)
- Driving Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Be willing to be on a call out rota if or when required
- Must live within the commutable distance
- SSSTS (preferred)
- PASMA (preferred)
- CP1 Competent Person substation entry (desirable)
- IPAF (desirable)
- Experience with Aeronautical Ground Lighting (desirable)
- ESR 2 Skilled Person (desirable)
- Confined space AP (desirable)
- A good understanding and use of Microsoft Office packages Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project. (desirable)
