Where will you be working?
At M Group Energy, we’re enabling the energy essential to support our lives.
We provide an end-to-end service, delivering solutions in electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy, EV, metering and home decarbonisation.
This role will be within our Electricity Transmission team. We design, build and commission substations at voltages up to and including 400kV. Our teams construct and maintain transmission lines and substations, ensuring the efficient and reliable delivery of electricity.

What will you be doing?

As an Occupational Health and Wellbeing Manager, you’ll be responsible for leading the development and delivery of a proactive health and wellbeing approach that supports a safe, resilient and high‑performing workforce.
You’ll focus on physical health, mental health and overall wellbeing, helping people stay well, engaged and able to perform effectively at work. Working closely with SHEQ and People teams, and operational leaders, you’ll design and deliver wellbeing programmes, manage occupational health risks and embed wellbeing as a core part of how the business operates. By taking a practical, measurable approach, you’ll support operational teams by addressing the people factors that influence risk, safety and sustainable performance.
What you’ll bring
- NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent foundation in health and safety, with awareness of health risks
- Formal training in occupational health, mental health or wellbeing (e.g. Mental Health First Aid Instructor, CIPD Wellbeing, IOSH Managing Occupational Health & Wellbeing)
- Strong understanding of health risk management in construction or utilities environments, including fatigue, vibration, manual handling and occupational stress
- Ability to interpret and provide authoritative advice on health risk management
- Experience developing and delivering wellbeing programmes within a multi‑site, operationally diverse workforce
- Ability to problem‑solve and implement practical solutions to mitigate health and wellbeing risks
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
- Ability to use work management systems and Microsoft Office 365
- Data-driven, with the ability to measure impact and continuously improve programmes
Desirable
- Membership of professional bodies (e.g., IOSH, CIPD, IIRSM, Society of Occupational Medicine)
- Knowledge of ISO 45001 with a focus on health and wellbeing requirements
- Experience in project/programme management of wellbeing initiatives
- Coaching, counselling, or psychology-related training
