Where you’ll be working?
BGEN is one of the UK's largest multidisciplinary design and build contractors with over 100 years of industry experience. We support clients in the Water, Power & Energy, Pharmaceutical, Nuclear and Food and Beverage industries to deliver next generation, value-added engineering solutions.
What you'll be doing?
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules across the design, engineering, construction, and commissioning phases, ensuring accurate progress tracking and reporting. Key duties include producing weekly and monthly reports, undertaking milestone forecasting, delay and float path analysis, managing Earned Value Management processes, and monitoring project performance and productivity. The role will involve liaising with clients, subcontractors, and project teams, leading planning meetings, preparing tender programmes and resource histograms, and supporting payment applications and contract reviews. You will also be accountable for the accuracy of schedules and reports, proactively identifying issues, communicating risks, and recommending effective solutions to support successful project delivery.
You will bring:
Extensive Primavera P6 expertise, with a proven track record of developing, maintaining and recovering complex, multi-disciplinary project schedules across engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning phases.
Strong project controls capability, including Earned Value Management (EVM), critical path analysis, delay and disruption assessment, productivity monitoring, milestone forecasting and performance reporting to senior management and clients.
Experience working within major projects and regulated environments, ideally in Nuclear, Power, Energy, Infrastructure or other complex delivery sectors, with a sound understanding of NEC and/or FIDIC contract requirements.
Exceptional stakeholder engagement and leadership skills, with the ability to challenge constructively, influence project teams and clients, facilitate planning workshops and provide clear, data-driven insights that support informed decision-making and successful project delivery.
