Where will you be working?
We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. We’re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure.
This role will be within our water and wastewater capital project delivery team. Our teams deliver large-scale capital programmes aimed at keeping water infrastructure resilient for the long-term while protecting the environment.

What will you be doing?
In this role as Estimator you'll be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, budgets, and tender submissions for a range of projects.
You'll review drawings, specifications, and tender documentation to understand project requirements and develop detailed quantity take-offs and pricing schedules.
We'll need you to obtain and assess quotations from suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring all costs are captured and commercially competitive. Working closely with operational, commercial, and bid teams, you'll identify project risks, opportunities, and value engineering solutions that support successful tenders and profitable project delivery.
This is a hybrid role, offering a mix of home, office, and project-based working.
What you'll bring
- Do you have experience in estimating within water, construction, infrastructure, or related sectors? (Utilities / Quantity Surveying)
- Have you got strong numerical, analytical, and commercial awareness skills?
- Are you able to interpret technical drawings and specifications?
- Do you have good knowledge of estimating software and Microsoft Office?
- Have you got strong communication and stakeholder management skills?
- Do you have a relevant construction qualification or equivalent industry experience?
