Where will you be working?
MEICA and capital maintenance - Our Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control & Automation (MEICA) experts offer a one-stop solution, including ongoing operation and maintenance services.
What will you be doing?
You’ll be responsible for inspecting, testing, and verifying installations in hazardous areas to ensure compliance with BS7671: 18th Edition and BS60079 standards.
You’ll produce detailed inspection reports and collaborate with both internal teams and clients to ensure high safety and operational standards are maintained.
You’ll be working alongside our established team of experts, receiving a wide range of industry help and support.
You’ll be carrying out thorough inspections in hazardous areas (ATEX zones).
You’ll be verifying and testing electrical installations in accordance with Ex protection concepts.
You’ll be producing clear and comprehensive reports on compliance and condition.
You’ll be identifying and advising on areas for remedial action or improvement.
You’ll ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through communication and quality of work.
What you’ll bring
- You’ll have previous experience of ATEX zones and hazardous areas
- You’ll have working knowledge of a wide range of Ex protection concepts, including but not limited to: Ex d – flameproof, E
- You’ll also have: CompEx Ex01 – Ex04 (Gas & Vapours) and an NVQ Level 3 (Maintenance or Installation)
- You’ll have completed: 18th Edition Electrical Wiring Regs and City & Guilds 2391-52 Inspection and Testing
- You’ll have proven experience in industrial environments
- Preferably, you’ll also have CompEx Ex05 – Ex06 (Dust), PASMA, IPAFIOSH and CCNSG Safety Passport
