    We provide an end-to-end service, delivering solutions in electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy, EV, metering and home decarbonisation. 

    This role will be within our Distribution and connections division. As one of the largest Independent Connection Providers (ICP’s) in the UK, we support distribution network operations across infrastructure.   

    Our team installs and maintains distribution networks and ensures reliable connections for customers. carrying out electrical planned work, customer connections and network reinforcement.

    What will you be doing? 
     

    We’re looking for Groundworkers to join our Site Delivery Team. This project is working on the construction and refurbishment of High Voltage Substations (11kV to 132kV).  You'll be working on sites in Romford and surrounding areas. As travel is needed with this role we’d need you to have a full UK driving licence.

    Key responsibilities include;

    • Reading drawings, manuals and other technical information to assist with Installations and remedial works
    • Work in agreement with the company and customer safe systems of work and permit to work systems
    • Adapt and respond to unforeseen events and act appropriately
    • Be able to plan and coordinate work well without guidance
    • Experience using hand and machine excavation equipment, placing and compacting bedding material, laying ducts and cables
    • Backfilling and compacting trenches, mixing and laying concrete, using equipment such as drills and pumps.
    • Working close to Live High Voltage equipment above and below ground
    • Operation of construction plant as well as acting as a Banksman.
    • Steelfixing, Formwork Carpentry, Brick Laying

    What you’ll bring 

    Experience and a sound understanding of reinforced concrete structures

    • Experience in excavation and working around buried utilities
    • NPORS / CPCS qualifications preferable.
    • NRSWA Qualification preferable.
