    Where will you be working? 

    At M Group Highways, we’re supporting the safe transportation and movement of people across the UK.

    You’ll be joining our Highways maintenance team in Suffolk, as the UK’s number one highway maintenance contractor, our teams use the latest innovations to create effective solutions. We offer a range of services including planned and reactive maintenance and highway improvement schemes.

    What you’ll be doing:

    Are you a strong coordinator? You’ll make sure all works are planned and coordinated, working with the delivery teams to update highway maintenance programmes with progress and meet contractual deadlines

    You’ll have the opportunity to identify savings and efficiencies where appropriate

    Have you used causeway before? You’ll input job details and upload works orders to mobile causeway devices, as well as provide technical support to the operatives

    Are you a strong collaborator? You’ll work with Area Managers, Supervisors, Local Highways Officers and inspectors to provide updates and minimize issues with timing and delivery.

    You'll escalate programme delays to the Area Managers and Supervisors to minimise issues with timing and delivery.

    You'll Handle in Hours emergencies and organise the necessary attendance within the contractual attendance timescale.

    You’ll create and update Street works permits and apply for utility stat plans when required

    You’ll provide an emergency call out handover to our Out Of Hours team

     What you’ll bring:

    • Are you confident in your IT skills? You’ll be proficient in Microsoft suite of programmes
    • Do you have Experience in effective programming? You’ll need this ideally in construction or maintenance works, preferably in the highway maintenance industry
    • Are you a great team player? You’ll work well with others and develop excellent relationships with contacts at all levels – from the client to colleagues across M Group Services.
    • Do you have good communication skills? You’ll provide clarity and influence in client decision making.
    • You’ll have understanding of the Traffic Management Act (Street works Noticing / Permitting)
