    At M Group Highways, we’re supporting the safe transportation and movement of people across the UK.

    You’ll be joining our Highways maintenance team, as the UK’s number one highway maintenance contractor, our teams use the latest innovations to create effective solutions. We offer a range of services including planned and reactive maintenance and highway improvement schemes.

    What will you be doing?

    This role is a FTC maternity cover. 
     
    In this role you'll be managing costs, value, and contracts, with a focus on achieving client and company targets.
     
    You'll be working on commercial and financial reporting and identifying contract variations and managing changes effectively.
     
    We'll ask you to oversee subcontract procurement and management. Preparing accurate quarterly forecasts and reconciling costs.
     
    The role will involve leading and mentoring team members with inclusive and supportive leadership.
     
    You'll also be conducting site visits to maintain a hands-on approach.

    What you’ll bring 

    • Do you have a degree (or equivalent qualification) in Quantity Surveying or a related construction field?
    • Reasonable level of identifiable commercial experience within the construction industry
    • Do you have an understanding of NEC contracts?
    • Proficiency in IT, particularly MS Office
    • Strong communication and organisational skills
    • A collaborative mindset and the ability to manage and inspire others
