    Where will you be working? 


    At M Group Energy, we’re enabling the energy essential to support our lives.  

    We provide an end-to-end service, delivering solutions in electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy, EV, metering and home decarbonisation. 

    This role will be within our Electricity Transmission team. We design, build and commission substations at voltages up to and including 400kV. Our teams construct and maintain transmission lines and substations, ensuring the efficient and reliable delivery of electricity.   
     
    With a main office base in Nottingham, you'll be covering projects across the UK so have the opportunity to travel!

    What will you be doing?


    As a SHEQ Advisor you’ll play a key part within our Site Project Teams, responsible for day-to-day SHEQ advice on high profile projects, working directly with site teams and customer representatives.  You’ll be the key point of contact for liaison with customers, regulatory bodies, stakeholders, community groups and other important individuals and stakeholders. 

    You’ll proactively manage the SHEQ issues on site including client liaison to ensure any investigations and actions are completed in a timely manner, in line with relevant M Group and client requirements.

    Are you keen to drive continuous improvement and positive safety cultures into operational activities and processes? Are you passionate about identifying learning opportunities & best practice in all areas of Health & Safety?

    Are you experienced in implementing SHEQ policies/procedures to ensure compliance with legislation?

    You’ll undertake site inductions of project staff and sub-contractors and attend liaison meetings between the various departments and clients. Are you familiar with ISO 45001, ISO9001 and ISO 14001 standards and experienced in ensuring these are complied with?

    What you’ll bring
    • Knowledge of CDM legislation
    • Minimum NEBOSH general/construction certificate
    • IEMA / IOSH Foundation in Environmental Management would be desirable
    • Previous experience in an Engineering environment / Project work, particularly rigging & overhead line modern construction techniques / Knowledge of Overhead Line and Sub-Station industry would all be desirable!
    • Excellent organisational skills & communication skills are essential! Coupled with the ability to converse with site staff of all grades and levels
    • Conversant with Microsoft Office packages
    • Full UK driving license – this role is site-based and will include regular travel & overnight stays
