    We design, build and commission substations at voltages up to and including 400kV, ensuring the efficient and reliable delivery of electricity.

    We're seeking a talented Senior Estimator to join our supportive team!

    You'll collaborate with Bid Managers, Project Development Managers, and Pre Contract Construction Managers, working on tenders for HV substation works (M+E and civils). Your role will involve pricing and securing new contracts.

    Are you looking for a hybrid role?  If so there is an option to work 2/3 day out of our offices in Annesley with the rest at home if you want to! 

    Our collaborative and inclusive work environment welcomes innovation and teamwork and day to day tasks include:

    • Organise and manage tender pricing communications
    • Build and maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships
    • Support bid manager with kick-off meetings and bid programme planning
    • Collaborate with procurement and commercial teams on RFQ preparation
    • Understand tender documentation, timescales, and submission requirements
    • Prepare tender pricing in Excel using supply chain quotes and internal rates
    • Analyse supply chain quotations, benchmark costs, and test productivity rates
    • Lead pricing handover meetings and chair internal risk/project management discussions
    • Identify and manage project risks throughout the tender process
    • Ensure project solutions are understood and constructively challenged
    • Prepare client pricing documents and assist with post-submission presentations
    • Drive continuous improvement within the tender process
    • Mentor junior estimators and support departmental development

    What you’ll bring?

    • Minimum 3 years previous experience in an infrastructure estimating role (essential) or substation estimating role (desirable)
    • Basic understanding of engineering/construction technology and terminology
    • Ability to read and understand engineering specifications and drawings
    • Basic understanding of contractual terminology
    • Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
    • Flexibility in terms of working hours
    • Full UK Drivers Licence
