    Where will you be working?

    We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards.  We’re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure.

    This role will be within our MEICA and capital maintenance team. Our Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control & Automation (MEICA) experts offer a one-stop solution, including ongoing operation and maintenance services.

    Key Responsibilities/what they’ll be doing

    • Lead and manage staff, ensuring effective supervision, task delegation, and performance monitoring.
    • Organise and oversee the delivery of work, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to required standards.
    • Build and maintain strong internal and external working relationships.
    • Provide technical support and act as the primary on-site contact for staff, clients, and senior management.
    • Support team development through training, mentoring, and capability building.
    • Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for innovation and increased efficiency.
    • Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations, including the preparation and verification of RAMS and implementation of Safe Systems of Work.
    • Monitor adherence to company procedures and contract/sub-contract terms.
    • Coordinate staff during emergency situations and ensure appropriate use of materials and resources.
    • Contribute to the preparation, management, and review of proposals and quotations.
    • Implement HR policies and support senior managers with team liaison and procedural guidance.

    Health, Safety and Quality

    • Lead Health & Safety audits for all site and van-based staff, ensuring full compliance with company and legal standards.
    • Implement and monitor Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) and ensure adherence to Safe Systems of Work.
    • Maintain compliance with ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001).
    • Ensure all staff training records and competencies are current and meet industry and client requirements.
    • Oversee weekly inspections of tools, plant, vehicles, and stock levels in coordination with delivery teams.
    • Enforce site-specific Health & Safety rules and deliver toolbox talks as required.


    What they’ll bring – Key skills, qualifications and experience 

    • Minimum of Level 3 NVQ and City & Guilds in a relevant subject or equivalent by experience
    • Hold a minimum of SSSTS, IOSH, CCNSG, NEBOSH, SMSTS
    • Full driving license
