What will you be doing?
We are seeking a Senior Consultant with waste management, land quality, and circular economy experience to join our expanding team of environmental specialists.
As part of our design function, you will provide multidisciplinary environmental design/consultancy services to M Group’s delivery teams. You'll be responsible for delivering essential infrastructure services across the UK.
You'll be responsible for key deliverables such as environmental surveys (e.g. geoenvironmental, contaminated land), environmental permits, operational environmental documentation. (e.g. Materials Management Plans, Site Waste Management Plans, Sampling Plans), and materials characterisation. (e.g. waste assessment & classification, contamination assessments, geotechnical/engineering assessments).
You will also be a mentor to your more junior colleagues, backing their professional development whilst developing your own leadership skills.
What you’ll bring
- Do you have a degree (or equivalent) in a relevant science or engineering subject?
- Chartership (or pursuing chartership) with a relevant professional body?
- A valid UK driving license, enabling you to travel to our office, client, or work site locations frequently.
- Experience in a similar role with a proven track record delivering high quality waste management, land quality, and circular economy solutions to your clients.
- UK environmental legislation, policies, and guidance underpinning the services
- Experience applying the Definition of Waste: Development Industry Code of Practice, to produce and execute Materials Management Plans.
- Excellent communication and time-management skills, allowing you to manage several competing priorities at once.
- Flexibility to work in across environmental teams in a multidisciplinary capacity when required.
