    Aviation- Our Aviation team works across a wide range of specialist civil, mechanical and electrical engineering works including major international airports, regional airports and RAF airfields.

    MGroup Transport (Aviation) are seeking a Project Manager to join our Minor projects team.  We are excited to present this new opportunity for a talented Project Manager Who is looking to be involved on a variety of challenging Projects. Focused on safety, compliance and delivery.

    The Minor projects team provides technical and engineering services for a range of electrical  related disciplines, and activities, focused on delivering great service everyday supporting our clients’ primary assets to enable an extraordinary airport, fit for the future.

    Primarily supporting our Aviation client at Heathrow – this role is suitable for an experienced Aviation biased Electrical Project Manager or Site Managers looking to progress their career to the next level.


    What will you be doing?

    Delivering airport minor projects, effectively managing multiple programmes. Focused on best use of resource, plant and materials, to deliver great value, quality, safely while maintaining compliance with internal and client needs.

    Where you will have a hand-on approach from tender and pre-construction to project completion and handover. You will have the ability to grasp the businesses vision and support a strategy that translates into a strong and innovative delivery of high-quality Electrical project works in a highly governed and challenging transport industry.

    Being client focused, showing excellent understanding of the scope of works. Using a proven business and commercial acumen and working to The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, you will deliver construction project works within NEC3, JCT and bespoke contract conditions. To act as point of contact for Clients, stakeholders and third parties and lead the project team with the timely production of Risk Assessments and Method Statements, H&S Site Management, Work Package Plans and support the collation of required information for Construction Phase Plans.


    What you’ll bring

    • Ideally qualified with NVQ6 or above and/or 18th addition regulations, with a successful track record managing Aviation based projects
    • Ideally a formal project management qualification, such as APM
    • Project management & delivery experience within a safety critical environment
    • Fully conversant with safety regulations (particularly CDM)
    • Possess a strong commercial acumen with knowledge of project management and NEC forms of contract, to manage day to day contract obligations
    • Demonstrable experience with both the commercial & project deliverables on previous projects
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and motivate the people working with you
    • Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
    • CSCS Card – Black
    • SMSTS Qualified
    • Full Clean Driving License
    • Proven ability to lead teams and manage subcontractors
