    We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards.  We’re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure.

    This role will be within our MEICA and capital maintenance team. Our Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control & Automation (MEICA) experts offer a one-stop solution, including ongoing operation and maintenance services.

    What will you be doing?

    As H&S Lead for MEICA Major Construction Projects across the UK, you ensure best practice in CDM compliance and oversee dedicated H&S resources to maintain a consistent, proactive safety approach. You collaborate across teams to embed safety systems, drive continuous improvement using lean methodologies, and promote a strong safety culture through leadership and coaching. Acting as a subject matter expert, you support project delivery teams, lead incident investigations, contribute to ISO 45001 audit programmes, and provide regular reports and recommendations to leadership and client stakeholders.

    What you’ll bring

    • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification / experience 
    • Minimum 5 years in a dedicated Health and Safety role preferably with a focus of Major Projects / MEICA delivery. 
    • Experience in managing and maintaining ISO 45001 accredited management systems. 
    • Demonstrated success in delivering Health and Safety improvement projects and initiatives influencing key stakeholders to continually improve culture. 
    • Experience in leading a team of H&S professionals, delivering consistent and effective advice and outputs.
