  • Right across infrastructure, there’s a requirement to not only maintain, but also renew and reimagine. Whatever stage you’re at in your career, with us you’ll have an opportunity to grow and develop. Delivering essential infrastructure services for life, while being safety first, and client and customer centric in a friendly, fun and respectful environment where you are encouraged to thrive.

    Where will you be working?

As an organisation, there is little we don’t do and plenty to get involved in. Our Group Support roles are vital in making sure we can help over 11,000 people deliver essential infrastructure seamlessly across water, energy, transport and telecom.

M Group Services is hiring a Group Business Improvement Manager to support the COO in driving strategic development and performance improvement. The role involves leading projects, developing strategy, and turning business plans into action. The team works across divisions, bringing expertise in analysis, project management, change, and stakeholder engagement.

    What will you be doing?

You will help keep the programme running smoothly by maintaining effective programme management and clear reporting routines, working hands‑on with projects as they explore, test, and roll out innovative new ways of working across M2. A key part of your role will be providing change support as new M2 processes, systems, and structures are introduced, offering constructive challenge and guidance to help project leaders and teams move faster, deliver real value, and minimise risks. You will contribute to the creation of strong business cases and actionable plans, with your practical change management expertise proving invaluable to Divisional Leads, Project Leads, and Divisional Owners. By spotting delivery risks early and escalating them to the programme leader and sponsor, you will ensure issues are addressed promptly, while also proposing practical solutions. Taking the lead on Shibumi usage, you will monitor progress across initiatives and the wider M2 programme, resolve issues for teams, and coach them to make the most of the system.
