    Where will you be working?

    We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. We’re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure.

    This role will be within our MEICA and capital maintenance team. Our Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control & Automation (MEICA) experts offer a one-stop solution, including ongoing operation and maintenance services. 

    Key Responsibilities:

    Leading, mentoring, and supporting field supervisors and technicians to achieve daily and weekly delivery goals.
    Coordinating resource deployment across multiple sites and workstreams, ensuring safety and efficiency remain top priorities.
    Supporting onboarding, training, and performance development of field teams.
    Managing day-to-day delivery performance, identifying risks early, implementing corrective actions, and maintaining programme progress.
    You'll be conducting site visits, toolbox talks, and reviews to ensure standards are met and lessons learned are shared.
    Building trusted relationships with internal departments (planning, coordination, SHEQ, commercial) and external stakeholders (clients, DNOs, delivery partners).
    Supporting reporting, audits, and contract reviews, providing structured updates and data-driven insights.
    Maintaining strong awareness of commercial impacts and cost control within operational decisions.
    You'll be travelling between sites across the UKPN region as required.

    Key skills, qualifications and experience:

    Proven experience in a supervisory or senior field operations role, ideally within MEICA, utilities, or infrastructure delivery
    Strong leadership qualities, approachable, consistent, and able to lead by example.
    A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to spot and resolve issues before they escalate.
    Excellent communication skills, with confidence to engage at all levels, from field teams to senior client contacts.
    Solid understanding of safety management, compliance, and quality processes.
    The ability to balance people, performance, and commercial awareness in decision-making.
    Structured, reliable, and adaptable approach under pressure.
    Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel within the contract region.
