You'll be working across Rail, Aviation, Defence & Adjacent Markets. You'll visit major international airports, see our wide range of specialist rail engineering projects across the UK and be involved in the maintenance and upgrades of defence properties, airfields, military bases, ports, railway infrastructure and depots.
This role is hybrid based from one of our offices in Stevenage, Heathrow or Beaconsfield.

What will you be doing?
- Coach, develop and line-manage a small team of cost accountants and support staff.
- Assist with, review, and oversee key month-end processes, including the preparation of monthly management packs.
- Lead on balance sheet reviews, ensuring reconciliations are completed on time, to a high standard.
- Provide accurate monthly cost analysis and reporting, including the reconciliation of costs, revenue, and subcontractor accruals.
- Support divisional commercial leads with CVR reporting, understanding and insight.
- Analyse project risks, preparing regular reports and seeking to mitigate identified risks wherever possible.
- Maintain control and visibility over all project costs to protect margins and ensure optimal performance.
What you’ll bring
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Excellent communication/stakeholder management skills.
- Analytical mindset with robust cost control and risk management ability.
- Continuous improvement mindset - enjoys designing and implementing process improvement.
- Strong problem solver - able to diagnose root causes and find solutions to overcome them.
- Business performance mindset - enjoys combining finance expertise with interpersonal skills to improve business outcomes.
- Strong excel user.
- Experience managing a team.
- Construction experience desirable but not essential.
