Where will you be working?
At M Group Telecom, we’re enabling and enhancing telecom networks, playing a lead role in the delivery of our tech enabled future.
We deliver full network cycle services for fixed, private and mobile operators.
This role will be within our Fixed networks team, you’ll join our people who support providing turnkey solutions for the surveying, designing, building and commissioning new networks, while supporting the repair, maintenance and operation of existing networks.

What will you be doing?
A key support role is being offered within a well‑established and positive team. A calm and practical approach is valued. Daily support to operations is provided through a range of duties. A strong work ethic and the right attitude are essential.
This role supports the smooth running of assets, vehicles and depots. Asset control is maintained. Depot safety is supported at all times. Flexibility is expected to meet business needs. Regular travel to regional sites is required. Overnight stays away from home will be part of the role.
A professional approach is expected. Clear and respectful communication is required with colleagues, managers and partners. Contact will take place on a regular basis and at different levels across the business.
As part of the Plant and Fleet support function, close working links are maintained with the National Plant and Fleet Manager. Cover, support and guidance are provided to national depots. Training support is also offered where needed.
Assets are managed in line with business needs. Strong working relationships with operational teams are developed. Risks that may affect service or safety are identified early and shared.
Vehicle and equipment allocations are overseen. Vehicle data systems are used to support safe driving. Road risk is reduced through education and guidance. This may be delivered through safety briefings, online calls or one to one conversations.
In some areas, a dual role is required. Attendance will depend on workload and local demand. Independent working is expected on some days. Limited supervision will be provided at these times.
Positive working relationships are built and maintained with key stakeholders. Support is provided across regional depots when required. Additional hours may be worked to meet business needs. Out of hours work may also be required from time to time.
This role suits someone who values teamwork, responsibility and consistency. A supportive environment is in place, with a strong focus on safety, respect and service.
What you’ll bring.
A good understanding of health and safety is expected. This includes working safely, following procedures and supporting safe working practices across depots and sites.
Clear and confident communication skills are important. Information is shared in a calm and professional way with people at all levels.
Confidence using computers is required. Regular use of Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook will form part of everyday work.
A well organised and planned approach is essential. Tasks are managed in a structured way, even when priorities change. A strong drive to deliver a high standard of customer service is expected at all times.
A full UK driving licence is required. Travel between regional locations will be part of the role.
Previous experience or knowledge of transport, vehicles or fleet activity is valued. This will support effective coordination and day to day decision making.
