Where will you be working?
Our Aviation team works across a wide range of specialist civil, mechanical and electrical engineering works including major international airports, regional airports and RAF airfields.

This apprenticeship will be Geospatial Survey Technician Level 3
Apprenticeship duration; 24 months
What you’ll be doing;
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience, from both site and office based activities.
- Support our team of surveyors on a variety of client sites - predominantly Heathrow and Gatwick - to collect land and building measurements.
- Undertake desktop surveys to investigate existing information
- Assist with utility surveys undertaken on site
- Learn to use geospatial techniques to plan and prepare a project brief as per the client specification.
- Set up survey technology, undertaking equipment checks and adjustments, and operate following guidance from senior surveyor.
- Process survey data to high Heathrow and Gatwick Standards
- Produce technical drawings in line with client requirements using software such as AutoCAD, Civils 3D, Cyclone
- Process underground utility surveys in line with PAS128:2022 specification
- Process point cloud data to Client specification
- Produce data reports for various survey disciplines, including topographical survey reports, underground utility survey reports, pit descriptions, and schematic drawings
- Complete all project administration including risk assessments
- Assist with cost control activities, cost allocation, equipment hires, process survey related orders
- Engage with subcontractors with data-post processing related tasks
- Learn and follow all processes to ensure we are working in line with our ISO accreditations to support our sustainability goals, maintain a high quality of work, and put Health and Safety at the forefront of what we do.
