    What will you be doing?

An opportunity has been created for an Account Manager to join the Telecoms Division at M Group Ltd. The role is based within our Fixed Network business in the UK. The position sits within a team that supports a range of clients across the telecoms sector.

The work involves the management of existing client accounts. Strong relationships are expected to be built over time, and trust is expected to be maintained. Each client is given a clear point of contact, and their needs are understood and supported. Care is taken to ensure that the service they receive meets the standards they expect. Further opportunities for growth within those accounts are also explored as part of the role.

New business opportunities are also identified in areas outside our current client base. The wider team supports this, and shared goals shape the approach to new work. A calm and steady working style is helpful, as the role touches many parts of the business.

The work managed by the team includes the planning, design and build of nextgeneration access networks. Civil network installation forms part of the service, along with the replacement and improvement of existing networks. Support is also given on cabling, jointing and splicing work. New connections and repairs are handled when required. Specialist support and network auditing also form part of the service. Fixed infrastructure build remains a key area across the division.

This role suits a person who enjoys building relationships and solving problems with care and patience. The environment is supportive, and the team works in a steady and collaborative way. Training is offered, and development is encouraged.

Care will be taken to focus this work in the right places and on the right types of activity. Some bids will sit under your guidance and will progress through you as the bid manager. Support will also be given to other bid managers when needed. Bid documents and client presentations will be shaped with accuracy and care, and you will work with the wider team to make sure our case studies and client materials stay up to date. Input from the Marketing team will be used where helpful. Your insight into the market will be valued, and your ideas will support the growth of our future service offer. You may attend events and conferences where our business is represented, and a calm and confident presence will be important.

For our current clients, you will grow a clear understanding of how they work and what challenges sit in front of them. Their key contacts, structures and ways of operating will become familiar to you. You will act as their main point of contact, and your approach will reflect warmth, steadiness and trust. A close eye will remain on the scope of our contracts, and new areas for future work will be explored. You will help clients shape their thinking and their direction, and you will take early notice of new leads with support from the Commercial team. Together, you will make sure we approach the right opportunities at the right time.

You will work closely with our Commercial and Operational teams when changes arise in live contracts, making sure that our reputation is upheld throughout. Issues may appear in our work, and you will help the teams to manage these in a calm and steady way. Preventing escalation will always be a focus.
