Where will you be working?
As an organisation, there is little we don’t do and plenty to get involved in. Our Group Support roles are vital in making sure we can help over 11,000 people deliver essential infrastructure seamlessly across water, energy, transport and telecom.
Please note: This is a 9-month fixed-term contract. The role is hybrid, with flexibility on location; however, it will require weekly travel to an office, primarily Stevenage and London.

What will you be doing?
As a Community Manager at M Group, you will lead the creation and launch of professional communities that bring people together, strengthen collaboration, and unlock knowledge across the business. Working with senior leaders, HR, internal communications, and IT, you’ll turn a strategic vision into a practical, high-impact programme that connects teams and drives engagement.
You’ll engage senior stakeholders, secure community sponsors, and build a network of champions to drive participation. Alongside this, you’ll deliver a compelling launch campaign, develop intuitive intranet community hubs, and ensure content is targeted effectively to the right audiences. You’ll also establish clear governance, create practical toolkits and playbooks, and embed communities into the employee lifecycle.
This role suits someone who is proactive, highly organised, and confident working with senior stakeholders. You’ll bring experience in internal communications or employee engagement, strong project management skills, and the ability to translate ideas into meaningful, lasting outcomes. Experience in large organisations or building internal communities is a plus.

- Experience in internal communications, employee engagement, or a related People role
- Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to create clear and engaging content tailored to different audiences
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with confidence influencing and building relationships at a senior level
- Proven project management capability, including managing multiple workstreams and competing priorities
- Strategic mindset, with the ability to balance big-picture thinking and detailed delivery
