    Where will you be working? 

    At M Group Highways, we’re supporting the safe transportation and movement of people across the UK.

    You’ll be joining our Highways maintenance team, as the UK’s number one highway maintenance contractor, our teams use the latest innovations to create effective solutions. We offer a range of services including planned and reactive maintenance and highway improvement schemes.

    What you'll be doing 

    • Maximise and protect the company’s commercial position by management of the commercial and administrative functions in line with contract terms
    • Liaise with the Client on commercial issues and auditing enquiries
    • Actively manage Work in Progress to acceptable levels
    • Management of Subcontractors, including issuing of Payment and other Notices
    • Organise and lead monthly CVR meetings with Commercial and Operational teams
    • Management of change control including CE’s, EW’s, and Star Rates
    • Offer contractual and measurement advice to the Operations and Commercial teams
    • Support the Commercial Manager in administering the monthly Application for Payment
    • Support the Commercial Manager in developing the team
    • Ad hoc duties as the Commercial Manager requires

    What you'll bring

    • Degree / HND qualification in Quantity Surveying or other relevant subject (desirable)
    • Strong level of identifiable commercial experience within the construction industry as a Managing or Senior QS
    • Experience of working within highways maintenance, particularly under the NEC suite of Contracts
    • Good command and communication of oral and written English
    • Good organisational skills
    • Proficient in the use of MS Office
    • Understanding and previous use of Causeway Project Accounting, Confirm, and Oracle would be an advantage
