    Where will you be working? 

    At M Group Energy, we’re enabling the energy essential to support our lives.  

    We provide an end-to-end service, delivering solutions in electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy, EV, metering and home decarbonisation.

    This position is based within our Transmission & Renewables division. We design, build and commission substations at voltages up to and including 400kV. Our teams construct and maintain transmission lines and substations, ensuring the efficient and reliable delivery of electricity. 

    What will you be doing?

    • Leading, coaching, and developing a high-performing commercial team
    • Driving commercial excellence through consistent processes, reporting, and governance
    • Championing HSEQ standards and ensuring compliance across all projects
    • Managing commercial risk and opportunity reviews, promoting proactive mitigation and transparent reporting
    • Collaborating with business leaders to shape and deliver commercial strategy
    • Monitoring KPIs and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance performance and best practice
    • Supporting succession planning and talent development to build a future-ready commercial function
    • Representing the business at internal and group forums, influencing the wider commercial agenda

    What you’ll bring;

    • Significant senior commercial leadership experience within the renewables, infrastructure, or construction sectors
    • Proven ability to develop and implement commercial processes, governance, and reporting standards
    • Strong track record of leading, developing, and motivating high-performing teams
    • Experience working with FIDIC, NEC3/NEC4, and JCT contracts
    • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills at a senior level
    • Passion for driving commercial excellence, continuous improvement, and best practice
    • Demonstrable commitment to HSEQ, equality, diversity, and inclusion
    • Degree-qualified or professionally accredited in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Engineering, Law, or a related discipline
    • Resilient, collaborative, and adaptable, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment
