  • Right across infrastructure, there’s a requirement to not only maintain, but also renew and reimagine. Whatever stage you’re at in your career, with us you’ll have an opportunity to grow and develop. Delivering essential infrastructure services for life, while being safety first, and client and customer centric in a friendly, fun and respectful environment where you are encouraged to thrive.

    Where will you be working?

    As an organisation, there is little we don’t do and plenty to get involved in. Our Group Support roles are vital in making sure we can help over 11,000 people deliver essential infrastructure seamlessly across water, energy, transport and telecom.

    This role is to support the Plant and Fleet business in maintaining high standards of Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) performance across operational activities. The role works closely with operational teams to provide practical SHEQ support, promote continuous improvement, ensure compliance with company procedures and legislation, and assist in driving a positive safety culture throughout the business.

    Please note this role is a 12 month FTC.

    Want to come and be a part of it?

    What will you be doing?

    Provide daily SHEQ support and guidance to operational teams, ensuring up-to-date risk assessments, method statements, and safe working systems. Proactively address safety queries and support incident prevention, leading safety meetings and facilitating open discussions on improvement actions.

    Conduct investigations into operational incidents, review plant and fleet specifications for safety, and undertake compliance inspections and drug and alcohol testing. Maintain, analyse, and report on SHEQ performance data, delivering insights to identify risks and improvement opportunities.

    Drive SHEQ projects, support process implementation, and help maintain the Business Management System, continually improving safety practices, documentation, and overall operational efficiency.

    What you’ll bring

    Experienced in SHEQ management, you bring strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, working effectively with operational teams in hands-on environments. Highly organised and proactive, you manage varied workloads with confidence. Your analytical expertise shines through in your ability to interpret and present key data trends, supporting informed decision-making. Adept at building collaborative relationships, you ensure health, safety, and environmental standards are upheld while driving continuous improvement across operations.

    What’s in it for you?

    We offer a range of benefits designed to support your life in and out of work, some of which include;

    • Matched or contributory pension scheme
    • Online GP service, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year
