    Where you'll be working?

    The Head of Projects & Programme Delivery is responsible for ensuring the organisation’s projects and programmes are delivered effectively, on time, on budget, and to the required quality, while setting delivery standards and driving execution excellence across all teams.

    The role shapes delivery strategy, aligns activity to organisational priorities, and engages confidently with senior stakeholders. It requires a strategic, proactive technology leader with a strong track record delivering complex programmes and influencing at executive level.

    What you'll be doing?

    • Lead end‑to‑end delivery of all projects and programmes, ensuring alignment to strategy.
    • you'll Oversee planning, execution, performance, and interdependencies.
    • you'll Set and optimise delivery approaches and structures.
    • Act as senior escalation point and influence executive decisions.
    • Manage resource allocation and balance demand vs capacity.
    • you'll Drive proactive risk, issue, and dependency management.
    • Ensure benefits realisation and accountability for outcomes.
    • Lead continuous improvement and uplift delivery capability.

    Essential Skills & Experience?

    • Extensive experience leading complex project and programme portfolios with full accountability for delivery, governance, and outcomes.
    • Proven delivery of large‑scale, cross‑functional transformation and strong governance, assurance, risk, and reporting frameworks.
    • Skilled leader of project/programme managers and cross‑functional teams, driving consistent, high‑quality delivery.
    • Strong capability managing interdependencies, resources, risks, issues, and delivery trade‑offs across multiple initiatives.
    • Deep knowledge of delivery methodologies, lifecycle controls, planning, sequencing, and performance management.
    • Effective at monitoring progress, challenging performance, and driving corrective action.
    • Excellent communicator and influencer, trusted by senior stakeholders and delivery teams.

    Desirable

    • Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline (e.g., IT, Business, Management, Engineering) or equivalent professional experience.
    • Relevant professional certifications such as APM, PMP, PRINCE2, MSP, AgilePM, SAFe.
    • Experience with Agile delivery frameworks (e.g., SAFe, Scrum at scale).
    • Familiarity with portfolio and PMO tooling (e.g., Clarity, Planview, ServiceNow, Jira Align).
    • Good understanding of budget management, financial forecasting, and the relationship between cost, delivery performance, and value.
    • Understanding of organisational change impacts and the people-side considerations required to successfully embed delivery outcomes.
    • Ability to mentor project and programme managers and contribute to the development of a stronger delivery community.
    • Experience contributing to delivery assurance, health checks, lessons learned, and continuous improvement activity.
