    Where will you be working?

    We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards.  We’re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure.

    This is role responsible for the delivery of Developer Services activities, including new connections, service installations, mains laying, mains diversions and associated network infrastructure works.

    What you'll be doing?
     
    The Planning & Scheduling Manager leads and develops a team responsible for delivering all planned and reactive repair and maintenance activities across the Yorkshire Water contract. The role ensures safe, compliant, and efficient scheduling of operational resources, driving performance against contractual, commercial, quality, and customer service targets. Responsibilities include team leadership, stakeholder engagement, SHEQ compliance, performance management, budget control, recruitment, reporting, and continuous improvement. Working closely with operational and client teams, the role ensures workloads are optimised, regulatory requirements are met, customer issues are resolved effectively, and innovative ways of working are adopted to improve productivity and service delivery.

    • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills with a wide spectrum of personalities
    • Clear & confident telephone manner
    • Strong knowledge of administration and clerical processes
    • Experience in leading and coaching a team
    • Excellent IT skills particularly MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook
    • Understanding of relevant points of General Data Protection Regulation 2018
    • Must be able to deal with a range of ongoing tasks at the same time, and to be able to cope under pressure
    • Must have initiative, and be able to make administrative decisions based on a broad understanding of relevant policies or operational requirements
    • Excellent organisational skills
