    Network Enterprise Architect – Hybrid – some travel to Farnborough & customer sites

    We are looking for an experienced Network Enterprise Architect to join us here at Telent within our Core Engineering division.  You will be working across core engineering, IT and business stakeholders to provide strategic technical leadership.

    What you’ll do: 

    • Define and maintain the Network Enterprise technology architecture roadmap, ensuring alignment with business strategy and operational objectives.
    • Establish Network architecture standards, principles, and governance processes across infrastructure, applications, data, integration, and security domains.
    • Lead the development of target-state architectures and transition plans for major technology transformation programmes.
    • Assess current technology platforms and identify opportunities for standardisation, simplification, optimisation, and technical debt reduction.
    • Provide technical leadership and assurance for complex projects, ensuring architectural compliance and alignment with strategic direction.
    • Develop and maintain enterprise architecture artefacts, including capability maps, application portfolios, technology reference architectures, and roadmaps.
    • Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation, resilience, efficiency, and service improvement.
    • Define integration strategies and architectural patterns that enable secure, scalable, and reusable digital services.
    • Lead Network and Security architecture reviews and design authority activities, providing governance and technical decision-making for significant investments.
    • Ensure solutions meet requirements for cybersecurity, operational resilience, performance, scalability, and regulatory compliance.
    • Collaborate with business stakeholders, delivery teams, suppliers, and technical specialists to translate business requirements into enterprise-wide technology strategies.
    • Drive cloud adoption and optimisation strategies, ensuring effective use of Azure and modern platform services where appropriate.
    • Oversee enterprise data architecture principles, ensuring data quality, interoperability, accessibility, and governance requirements are met.
    • Define technology lifecycle management approaches, including platform rationalisation, obsolescence management, and technical risk mitigation.
    • Produce business cases and technology investment recommendations based on architecture assessments, risk analysis, and strategic value.
    • Act as the senior technical authority for enterprise-wide architectural decisions and technology direction.

    W ho you are:

    The successful candidate will have previously held the position of Network Enterprise Architect and can work very closely with the relevant teams to ensure successful delivery of solutionsYou will have previously established architectural standards, developed technology roadmaps, and guided major transformation initiatives, ensuring consistency across applications, data, infrastructure, cloud services, networks, and security.

    Key Requirements:

    • Enterprise Architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman, or equivalent).
    • Network architecture.
    • Zero Trust architecture principles.
    • Integration architecture, APIs, and enterprise service patterns.
    • Data architecture and information management.
    • Infrastructure, networking, and operational technology environments.
    • Technology governance, architecture assurance, and design authority leadership.
    • Large-scale digital transformation and legacy modernisation programmes.
