What you'll be doing?
Ready to make your mark on a major infrastructure project? Join our Overhead Lines Commercial Team in South West England, where you'll play a key role in maximising project profitability, managing commercial risk, and supporting the successful delivery of critical electrical transmission projects.
It’s a hands-on, site-focused role, so you’ll be out where the action is (expect at least three days a week on-site).
We're looking for someone who wants to do more than just manage the commercial aspects of a project. We want an individual who is excited by the opportunity to grow with the project, take ownership, and ultimately become a key leader in its successful delivery. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious commercial professional who enjoys building relationships, driving results, and influencing project success from start to finish.
What you'll bring?
- Experience within a Quantity Surveying, Commercial, or Cost Management role.
- A qualification in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience.
- Strong understanding of contract costing, cost/value reconciliation, and subcontract management.
- Good working knowledge of NEC3 and NEC4 contracts.
- Experience managing site records, variations, valuations, claims, and final accounts.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and financial awareness.
- Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience within the Electrical Transmission, Overhead Lines, utilities, or wider infrastructure sector would be a real advantage.
- A full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel or stay away when required.
- A proactive mindset and the ambition to grow with the project, take on increasing responsibility, and provide commercial leadership throughout the project lifecycle.
