    Where will you be working?

    At M Group Energy, we’re enabling the energy essential to support our lives.

    We provide an end-to-end service, delivering solutions in electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy and EV.

    As a SHEQ Manager, you will set and deliver the SHEQ strategy, driving a positive, incident‑free culture and continual improvement across the workforce. You will assure legal and regulatory compliance through effective management systems, robust governance and clear performance insight. You will partner with operational leaders, clients and the supply chain to embed right‑first‑time quality, environmental stewardship and wellbeing in everything we do, and you will lead assurance activity that strengthens consistency across the Business Unit.

    What will you be doing?

    • Lead and inspire a positive safety culture across all projects and sites.
    • Develop and support SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment & Quality) teams, ensuring high standards and consistency.
    • Advise senior leaders and help shape SHEQ strategy and systems.
    • Prevent incidents, drive continual improvement, and ensure robust risk controls.
    • Ensure full legal compliance (Health & Safety, CDM) and champion best practice.
    • Plan and deliver audits, oversee incident investigations and prompt corrective action.
    • Represent SHEQ with clients, regulators, and supply chain partners.
    • Promote digital innovation, wellbeing, mental health and environmental responsibilities.
    • Foster inclusion and talent development—help the team and business excel.

    What you’ll bring

    • NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ Level 6 (or equivalent); Chartered IOSH (CMIOSH) or working towards.
    • SHEQ leadership experience across multi‑site operations, providing visible, values‑led leadership.
    • Proven experience leading, developing and motivating teams, balancing assurance with practical operational support.
    • Strong incident investigation and root cause analysis capability, using data and insight to drive continual improvement.
    • Strong analytical, reporting and Microsoft 365 skills to inform decision‑making and maintain high standards.
    • Clear, confident communicator, able to influence senior leaders, directors and clients and challenge poor performance constructively.
    • Resilient and adaptable, with the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple contracts and changing business needs.
    • Able to work autonomously, taking ownership and responding proactively to operational requirements and emerging risks.
