    Where will you be working?

    We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards.  We’re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure.

    This role will be within our water and wastewater capital project delivery team. Our teams deliver large-scale capital programmes aimed at keeping water infrastructure resilient for the long-term while protecting the environment.

    What will you be doing?

    • Translate the SHE Director’s vision into practical implementation across all zones and areas of responsibility.
    • Co-develop and lead national SHE programes, campaigns, and cultural improvement initiatives.
    • Oversee implementation of ISO 45001, 14001, 9001, and other management systems across the organisation.
    • Act as a senior representative of the company with clients, regulators, and industry forums.
    • Support the SHE Director in external engagements and board-level reporting.
    • Strengthen client relationships by demonstrating leadership, assurance, and continuous improvement.
    • Lead, mentor, and support Zonal Leads, building a strong leadership pipeline in SHE throughout the team.

    What you’ll bring

    • Chartered Member of IOSH (CMIOSH)  or equivalent
    • Significant senior leadership experience in utilities, water, construction, or infrastructure.
    • Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations, high-risk activities, and utility sector challenges.
    • Demonstrable track record of leading cultural change and large, multi-site HSE teams.
    • Visionary leader, able to translate strategy into action.
