    Where will you be working?

    We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards.  We’re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure.

    This role will be within our demand management and network infrastructure team.  We look after 60 million meters and our teams provide advanced metering solutions to help manage demand for essential suppliers.

    What will you be doing? 

    As our Plumbing Supervisor you'll need to ensure that the installation targets for both internal and external meters fits (including maintenance and replacements) are met and that all installations are completed within the MWS FSL system and to approved processes and standards.

    You'll be required to manage the performance of your team of installers, complete safety briefs, perform audits and inspections and provide for customer satisfaction during the installations.

    You'll need to ensure the specific quality / policy requirements as set out by Thames Water / M Group Water are adhered to in all works. Promote safe behaviours, risk management and hazard observation at all times.
     
    You'll need to be available for on call as required and agreed to deal with out of hours customer issues.
     
    You'll be responsible for all employees under your control complete their duties to manage their work as defined in the job description and also behave with the highest levels of integrity and to the MWS code of conduct at all times.

    • Good organisation and planning skills
    • Meticulous approach to ensuring accuracy of data
    • Problem analysis and problem solving skills
    • Understanding and experience in Water Meter installation (internal and external) 
    • Understanding of products and materials used in accordance with the Water Supply (Water Quality) Regulations and the Water Supply (Water Fitting) Regulations
    • Enthusiastic and energetic personality
    • Ability to work efficiently alone and as part of a team
