Where will you be working?
At M Group Telecom, we’re enabling and enhancing telecom networks, playing a lead role in the delivery of our tech enabled future.
We deliver full network cycle services for fixed, private and mobile operators.
Private networks- We find the best technology, manage assets and refresh systems. With 24/7 network operations, we keep things running smoothly, while operating comprehensive network repair and maintenance to keep everything in top shape.

What will you be doing?
- You’ll apply knowledge of fibre and networking principles to deliver project completion across various customer sites, including substations, power plants, data centres, and control centres.
- You’ll ensure Health & Safety and quality standards are met, perform end-to-end circuit testing, and carry out telecoms installation and commissioning with cross-department collaboration.
- You’ll work with project engineers to define and execute safe work methods, escalate incidents to H&S/Operations Managers, assist with root cause analysis, conduct site surveys and audits, manage contractors under RAMS, and act as Principal Contractor and Competent Person.
- You’ll complete training, maintain assigned equipment and PPE, and recommend cost and process improvements.
What you’ll bring
You’ll bring problem-solving skills and apply LAN & WAN internetworking (e.g. Ethernet cabling, pre-staged devices). Duties include installation, glanding, termination, and testing of SWA, Cat5/6, Belden, fibre, and copper cabling.
You’ll install and commission telecom racks, chargers, and support PDH/SDH (Alcatel, Avara, Nokia, etc.), configure routers, switches, muxes, FOX cards, and perform fibre patching.
Tasks also include Eltek/ADVA systems, forced air cooling, DC power systems, telecom testing, and fault finding. Prior substation/data centre experience preferred. Excellent communication and customer service are necessary.
