What will you be doing?
Are you an expert in IT General Controls with a passion for risk management and compliance? We're looking for a proactive leader to drive the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of ITGCs across critical systems, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements like UK GDPR, NIS Regulations, and proposed UK SOx. In this role, you'll conduct risk assessments, collaborate with audit teams, and work closely with IT, cybersecurity, and business stakeholders to embed effective controls throughout the system lifecycle. You'll also provide senior leadership with insightful reports and metrics while fostering awareness and education on IT risks across the organisation. What you’ll bring
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Risk Management or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Professional certifications such as CGEIT, CISA, CRISC, CISM, or similar.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT risk, IT audit, or IT controls in a large enterprise environment, preferably within critical infrastructure or regulated sectors.
- In-depth knowledge of ITGC f
- rameworks, risk management methodologies, and standards (e.g., ITIL, COBIT, ISO 27001, NIST CSF).
- Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance environments in the UK utilities or critical national infrastructure sector.
- Understanding of SOx concepts in regards to ITGC’s.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and report writing skills.
