What will you be doing?
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Support the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes across the division.
- Deliver insightful variance analysis and performance commentary to aid decision-making.
- Assist in the development of financial models to support strategic initiatives and investment decisions.
Business Partnering
- Act as a trusted advisor to operational and commercial teams, providing financial guidance and challenge.
- Attend monthly trading reviews and contribute to performance discussions with actionable insights.
- Collaborate with contract managers to drive margin improvement and cost efficiency.
Reporting & Governance
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Support balance sheet reviews and ensure financial controls are adhered to.
- Monitor contract WIP and assist in working capital optimisation efforts.
Commercial Finance
- Contribute to pricing strategies, bids, and tenders by providing financial input and risk assessment.
- Assist in the preparation of business cases and investment appraisals for new projects.
- Support contract negotiations with financial analysis and scenario modelling.
What you’ll bring
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Strong analytical skills and commercial acumen.
- Experience in a business-facing finance role, ideally within energy, infrastructure, or utilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proficiency in financial systems and Excel-based modelling.
