Defence & Adjacent Markets - Our DAM team works across a wide range of specialist civil, mechanical and electrical engineering works including major international ports, National Grid and MOD facilities.

What will you be doing?
We are seeking a skilled and motivated P6 Project Planner to join our planning team, supporting a diverse portfolio of projects across aviation, rail, and general civil engineering sectors throughout the UK. This is a hybrid role, with a minimum of 2 days per week at our Heathrow Head Office, and the flexibility to work from home 1 day per week.
You will report directly to the Head of Planning and collaborate with a dedicated team of planners to deliver robust project programmes across all stages of the project lifecycle.
What you’ll bring
- Develop and maintain detailed tender and delivery programmes using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
- Facilitate planning workshops to define project methodologies, considering contractual and operational constraints.
- Monitor and update project programmes throughout their lifecycle, ensuring alignment with progress and change management.
- Provide clear and concise progress reports and programme narratives to internal and external stakeholders.
- Liaise with contractors and suppliers to coordinate accurate programme updates.
- Administer programme management in accordance with contract requirements, primarily NEC4.
- Collaborate with estimators and tender sponsors to support bid strategy and programme development.
- Support the planning team with day-to-day programme management tasks.
- Ensure compliance with the Company Management System and stay informed on industry trends and legislation.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in project planning within the UK.
- Proficient in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
- Strong time and workload management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of leading planning workshops and presenting programmes at tender adjudications, client meetings, and internal reviews.
- To work airside at airports, candidates must meet security clearance requirements, including providing 5 years of employment history.
Desirable:
- Experience with NEC contracts.
- Background in aviation, rail, or civil engineering projects.
- Tender planning experience.
- Familiarity with Power BI for reporting and data visualisation.
