    At M Group Highways, we’re supporting the safe transportation and movement of people across the UK.

    You’ll be joining our Highways maintenance team, as the UK’s number one highway maintenance contractor, our teams use the latest innovations to create effective solutions. We offer a range of services including planned and reactive maintenance and highway improvement schemes.

    What will you be doing?

    • Plan, supervise, and execute works to specification, budget, and compliance standards (including TMA and Red Book).
    • Monitor and manage operational margins, taking corrective action when needed.
    • Ensure Health & Safety for staff and supply chain partners.
    • Implement company policies and procedures, including MiLife initiatives.
    • Set and monitor performance objectives for time, cost, safety, and quality.
    • Train, develop, and motivate staff; deliver toolbox talks and safety briefings.
    • Manage vehicles, plant, and resources effectively.
    • Promote continuous improvement and support apprentices.
    • Participate in emergency and winter maintenance rota's.
    • Coordinate with schedulers and transport managers; approve timesheets and order materials.
    • Investigate incidents thoroughly and maintain accurate records.

    What you’ll bring

    • Proven experience in construction delivery and team supervision.
    • Strong commercial awareness for cost control and efficiency.
    • Highway maintenance experience preferred; CSCS, NRSWA, SSSTS/SMSTS desirable.
    • Effective leadership, team management, and motivational skills.
    • Excellent customer service and influencing abilities.
    • Proficient IT skills, ideally in Microsoft Office
    • Ability to build strong relationships at all levels.
    • Flexible, adaptable, and proactive in driving change.
