    BGEN is one of the UK's largest multidisciplinary design and build contractors with over 100 years of industry experience. We support clients in the Water, Power & Energy, Pharmaceutical, Nuclear and Food and Beverage industries to deliver next generation, value-added engineering solutions.

    What will you be doing?

    In this role, you’ll help ensure each contract runs smoothly and successfully by keeping a close eye on margins, supporting timely cash collection and spotting opportunities to reduce costs and boost revenue.

    You’ll prepare clear financial and commercial reports, review monthly cost‑value reconciliations and keep cash forecasts up to date.

    Building strong, positive relationships is key, and you’ll work closely with SBU Directors, operational teams and client commercial leads to keep communication open and productive.

    You’ll support tender assessments, review contractual terms and help develop plans that improve margins and reduce WIP.

    By encouraging best practice, you’ll play an active part in improving efficiency, strengthening processes and minimising risk.

    You’ll also work with contract teams to ensure contracts are administered correctly, helping to prevent disputes and assisting in resolving any that arise.

    Your contribution will help create a smooth, collaborative and commercially successful environment.

    What you'll bring:
    • Degree in quantity surveying, commercial management or equivalent
    • RICS Chartership or similar accreditation
    • NEC Professional accreditation
    • Experience in the construction industry
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Confident using commercial management systems and processes
    • Good understanding of cost value reconciliations and cost‑to‑target comparisons
    • Skilled in sub‑contract procurement and administration
    • Solid knowledge of contracts and measurement methods
    • High attention to detail
