Where will you be working?
We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. We’re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure.
This role will be within our Water and wastewater capital project delivery team. Our teams deliver large-scale capital programmes aimed at keeping water infrastructure resilient for the long-term while protecting the environment.

What will you be doing?
Within this role you'll support our Thames Water contract across South London and Thames valley.
As a SHE Advisor you'll be a key part of our SHE team who provide expert advice, assistance and guidance with regards to the management of health, safety and environmental issues. We're looking for the right individual to be highly organised, efficient at multitasking and flexible, who is keen to be part of a vibrant team and make a difference.
You'll monitor direct employees and sub-contractors via site inspection and management audits along with advise on a range of specialist areas, e.g. risk assessments, construction risk management, fire safety, CDM regulations, hazardous substances, noise and machinery.
We'll need you to assist and advise the operational and management team to maintain and further develop the management systems and operational practices along with supporting incident management & investigation processes.
You'll present inductions, toolbox talks, team talks and appropriate SHE training materials about health, safety and environmental issues and risks and act as a role model in support of the M Group visions, priorities and values.
What you'll bring:
- Do you hold a NEBOSH General or Construction certificate?
- Have you got previous experience as a Safety Advisor in a construction environment, with preference towards civil engineering and / or utility projects?
- Do you have extensive knowledge and experience of CDM Regulations?
- Do you hold a valid driving licence and have willingness to travel?
- Have you got any Environmental Qualifications, Temporary works and / or appointed persons experience? These are desirable.
- Have you got excellent communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively, and a proactive approach to problem-solving?
